Snowy River Estuary Walk: from the village
About 5 km one way, around 1 hour 40 minutes. From the Marlo township along the estuary to Mots Beach, finishing on the ocean beach opposite Frenches Narrows. It passes banksia woodland, coastal salt marsh and critically endangered littoral rainforest. Watch for grey-headed flying-foxes and little terns. Carry water.
Cape Conran Nature Trail: 18 km away
3.2 km. White sandy beaches, rock pools, banksia woodland and lookouts. Add the beach walk from East Cape to the Yeerung River, about 3 km along the sand.
Cabbage Tree Palms: 41 km away
1 km return, about 15 minutes. A short loop from the car park through the southernmost palms in Australia. Listen for superb lyrebirds.
McKenzie River Rainforest Walk: Bemm River
1 km, about 45 minutes. Swing bridges and canopy views in the Bemm River Scenic Reserve. See Bemm River.
