Buchan Caves

84 km, 1 hr 25 min drive from Marlo Hideaway

Limestone caves under a forested valley, with guided tours, a spring-fed pool and kangaroos on the lawns. About an hour and a half from Marlo.

The caves

Two caves are toured: Fairy Cave, about 400 metres long, and Royal Cave, with formations called "Niagara Falls" and the "Font of the Gods". Tours are run by Parks Victoria: book online or call 13 1963.

Around the reserve

Swim in the pool fed by a natural spring, look for kangaroos, koalas and over forty bird species, or walk the Spring Creek track, about 90 minutes return. There's also a camping ground.
